Murals
Since Spring 2024, the end walls of Hotel Atlantic have been decorated with eye-catching art, as the building played an important role in the street art project “17 Walls”.
“17 Walls” is a project that transformed the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals into 17 murals in Aarhus city centre – two of them you will find on the end walls of Hotel Atlantic.

“Right Trough My Fingers”
Inspired by Goal no. 14, “Life Below Water”, this mural by American artist BKFoxx overlooks the Bay of Aarhus and the ocean.
The outstretched hands in water represent cleansing as well as honest and trustful intentions. In the interplay with the arm tattoos, they symbolise the human connection to water and the commitment to the ocean and responsibility of preserving it for our childrens’ future.

“Faucet of Life”
The mural by Argentinean artist Runmuralist is inspired by Goal no. 6, “Clean Water and Sanitation”, and faces the city center of Aarhus.
There is an atmosphere of serenity, calmness and freshness in the image of a young girl floating on a lake. A faucet and raindrops provide the lake with water and represent a balanced system. The golden heart in the girl’s hand represents the value and purity of water and the respect that we should have for it, and the girl embodies our obligation to succeeding generations to preserve it.
